1. What is your favourite yarn to knit with? What fibers do you absolutely not like?
I don’t like artificial fibres. I like wool, cotton, silk, alpaca.

2. What do you use to store your needles/hooks in?
I store them in a basket and in a glass jar.

3. How long have you been knitting & how did you learn? Would you consider your skill level to be beginner, intermediate or advanced?
I have been knitting for as long as I can remember and now I think I would be between intermediate and advanced.

4. Do you have an Amazon or other online wishlist?
I do (Amazon).

5. What’s your favorite scent? (Candles, bath products etc.)
Cinnamon and vanilla in winter and anything flowery when it’s warm outside.
6. Do you have a sweet tooth? Favorite candy?
At irregular intervals – anything.

7. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do? Do you spin?
I like cooking, baking, I can crochet, but I rarely do it. I have been sewing a lot, but don’t do it any more. I like to dye my yarn – for example with plants. Yes, I spin. I’ve got an Ashford wheel (joy).

8. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3’s?
My computer can play MP3’s and I love jazz, blues ……

9. What’s your favorite color? Any colors you just can’t stand?
In wintertime I prefer autumn colors, I love red.

10. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?
One husband – the same since 30 years, 3 children – all grown-up and no pets. Just some frogs, newts and dragonflys in the garden-pond and cats from the neigbours in my garden – I love them all.
11. Do you wear scarves, hats, mittens or ponchos?
I wear scarves, mittens and ponchos, I don’t wear hats very much.

12. What is your favorite item to knit?
I love to knit anything.

13. What are you knitting right now?
I am working on a bag and would like to start (but don’t know when) with this blanket.

14. Do you like to receive handmade gifts?
Absolutely. Unhandmade are also nice if they are well chosen.

15. Do you prefer straight or circular needles? Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?
I use a mix of straights and circulars – it depends on what I’m knitting. I like bamboo, aluminum and wood. I don’t like plastic.

16. Do you own a yarn winder and/or swift?
No, I don’t.

17. How old is your oldest UFO?
Don’t remember.

18. What is your favorite holiday?
Christmas.

19. Is there anything that you collect?
Yarn, yarn, yarn, yarn…. and cookbooks and ballpens.

20. Any books, yarns, needles or patterns out there you are dying to get your hands on? What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have?
I don’t have any knitting magazine subscriptions at the moment. When I feel like buying a knitting magazine I do me the favor very spontaneously….

21. Are there any new techniques you’d like to learn?
Spinning: I’d like to improve navajo-plying.

22. Are you a sock knitter? What are your foot measurements?
Yes. Size 38 (EU), 7 (US).
