No.
How long have you been knitting? Would you consider yourself a Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced?
I have been knitting around 40 years – advanced knitter, sometimes maybe intermediate – depends also on what I’m knitting.
Do you have any other hobbies besides knitting?
Spinning, dyeing, weaving, felting, a little bit of crocheting, reading books, sometimes cooking and baking, walking our dog, city travelling and and and …. 24 hours for one day are not enough!
Favorite color(s)?
Black, red, purple, grey, green, dark blue… random order.
I like one color in different shades.
No light blues, no pinks, no light yellows…
Do you collect anything?
Yarn to knit, yarn to spin, knitting-books, cooking-books, spinning-wheels, art-picture postcards, stones and frogs (not alive) and dvd’s of unknown movies (esp. comedies).
Are you allergic to any fibers or animals?
Fortunately I’m not!
Do you have any pets?
Yes, a lovely dog – black coat with a little bit of brown.
Coffee, Tea, or Hot Chocolate?
Black tea, nearly all different flavours. NEVER coffee.

Sweets AND cookies.

Yes! I love knitting socks. It’s meditation to me.

I knit shawls, stoles, mittens, caps, bags, jackets, sweaters, I have knitted coats, dresses, I knit blankets, … Dont know what I don’t knit 😉 Sure, I know: I don’t knit kitchen things because I don’t like them.
Do you put up a Christmas tree? If not then what do you do?
I do. And I love the smell of the tree in our room.
Favorite holiday treats?
Peppermint, chocolate, marzipan….
Favorite holiday smells?
Cinnamon, Christmas tree, candles, oranges, cookies…..

Just being together, talking, eating and exchanging gifts.
What are your favorite holiday traditions?
Eating something I don’t cook for the rest of the whole year and a tablecloth I have embroidered especially for Christmas.

Definitely at the beginning of december – it’s Christmas time for me! And this year participating this swatch even earlier!!

I don’t. But would like to get them. And I collect those cards (unwritten and written).
What is your favorite Christmas dish?
It’s a sort of meat I only cook for Christmas – with vegetables and smashed potatoes.
Carolers are at your door. What do you do?
Listening and giving them some sweets and some money – as they always collect for a certain purpose. They come on 6th of January.
When do you open presents? Christmas eve or Christmas morning?
Christmas eve after dinner.
Do you celebrate with family or friends or both?
With family – our friends celebrate with their own families.

Ich hab mir bei handpaintedyarn laceweight Wolle für mein „Geheimtuch“ bestellt. Weil ich mich nicht entscheiden konnte, hab ich mir gleich 3 Farben bestellt. Was meint Ihr, in welcher Farbe soll ich es stricken? Welche Farbe bekommt die meisten Stimmen? Entscheidungshilfe: Meine Haarfarbe ist schwarz/weiß.
